89 K3500 Big block replacement

For a stock 454 or smaller big block prolly. Id try to figure out the current motor and wiring. I miss the simplicity of TBI, and the 454s. I had 2, both ran awesome.....

If I do replace the 366 with another big block, I have a set of heads from a 70 402 that I had rebuilt years ago but never got a chance to finish that project. Are those heads of any use for this project?

Maybe. They're probably oval-port (good) and they're likely closed-chamber. I can't remember when the open-chamber iron heads came out.

They'd be fine on a pickup engine assuming the "rebuild" of them was done properly. I would certainly want hardened exhaust seats.
