700r4 to nv3500

I'm doing a 5 speed swap in my 92 k1500 which has a 700r4 in it now...Ive heard that because the two transmissions are different sizes, the tcase from the automatic won't work and I have to find one from a donor truck..is this true? Any info is helpful...thank you

Im seeing that the transfer case I have now is an np241 and I need an np205 for the nv3500....I'm not sure of anything, I was looking for someone who might have done the same swap as me

As far as I know you just need a 32 spline input np241. The 700r4 has a 27 spline. A np205 doesn't drop on the same side and would only be used in a solid axle swap.

I helped a buddy swap a NV4500 in place of a 4L80E.. driveshafts were different lengths. Keep that in mind.

So if the 700r4 has 27 spline then the t case in it now must have 27 obviously...is it hard to change input shafts from 27 to 32?
