I have 35" tires with 4.10's and I personally would not go 4.56 on a daily driver. at 75 mph my truck revs right at 2500 rpm. I dont like cruising any higher rpm than that.

4.56 gears you would probably get horrible gas mileage.

Well I got a change in plans for now. Came across a deal I couldn't pass up....14 bolt sf with 3.73 gears and front axle with 3,73 for 200 bucks. I jumped on it. Still would like lower gears but that will do for now seeing that the 10 bolt quit on me.

I ran 3.73s and 35's for 2 years, they are ok, but leave alot to be desired on the takeoff power...

That's a lot of work just to figure mpg though a much easier solution is to download an app that tracks miles traveled that way you don't have to make a special trip

Figure your % difference using mile markers and calculate it out when you fill up... Easy :deal: Lets say you go 11 miles on the freeway and your odometer reads 10. It's off by 10% so multiply your odometer reading by 1.1 when you fill up and you have a true reading.

Well the 3.73 gears are a small improvement from what I have now which is 3.42s. Sure gonna miss that auburn pro lsd though. Gonna have a 1 tire wonder for a lil while.

Light application of the parking brake will give you a limited slip function :waytogo: Raising the rolling resistance of both wheels narrows the "traction" differential between the two forcing the open diff to power the side that's not turning.

This is actually true. The brake will have more effect on the faster turning tire, causing the other tire to spin.

The only reason I still have an open diff... Works like a champ in the snow where a locker would put you in the ditch.
