Check plugs too. I've had new plugs go bad believe it or not. In fact, if you have the plugs out, you might do a compression test. It won't hardly cost you any extra time and possibly rule out a valve/lifter/rocker problem. It's always possible a push rod slipped off.

New to this forum. Looking fo some answers about my project.

It is a 95 c1500 w/4.3l vortec, manual trans. I have purchased a 5.7l equipped with a FITECH efi. I have questions about wiring harness and eprom's. Do I need to swap out the harness, change te eprom.

Sorry I left out that it will be running a msd ignition.
WHICH "msd ignition" and WHY? Wasted time, money, effort, and enthusiasm. Some of it is high-failure junk causing more problems than it's worth.

This coming from a guy with a small Stonehenge of red spark-boxes in his shop, an ancient MSD counter display, and who ran an MSD 6T in his '88 K1500 until it died.
