Hi guys,
I was looking for a mild cam for my 350. Stock motor, just want to wake it up a little bit. I've heard of people using an LT4 hot cam and was wondering if that will be streetable? Maybe with 1.6 rockers? this is my daily driver and I am NOT looking for max gains.

Ok.

The truck it's going into is a '96 Silverado with a 305. It's a daily driver most of the time. It's got 200k on it and the 305 is tired. I would just put Pistons in it and a cam but I'm worried about the bottom end.

The 395 Marine cam is a popular mild upgrade.

What he said;

Get Alex Parts Springs and Retainers to increase the lift to .550.
1.6 SA Roller Rockers
Marine/HT383 "395" cam

Very streetable, very useful - all around power increase.

Stipulation: warranty only valid if installed by certified GM technician, or a dealership. Dealership chargers $900-$1500 for the install. I was going to go that route, until I found that out.

I just took my buddy for a ride to lunch in my Suburban...hasn't been for a ride with me since I installed the '395 cam. I think he's gonna have that grin stuck on his face for the rest of the day today. He said, "Damn son!!! This truck $*@&ing MOVES!!!".
