I have a 1989 Chevy 1500 Cheyenne with a 305 in it. I would like to know if anyone has power boost ideas without spending a lot of money. It has been swapped with a 1989 Camaro 305 that has a roller cam in it. It also has an aluminum intake with a 350 Tbi that has been ported with a spacer. If anyone has extra ideas they would be much appreciated.

Do you have emission testing? Removing the cats would let it breathe a lot better, cost you some pipe and a six pack of beer if you know a welder.

Honestly, 350s are dirt cheap right now. I got one for free. Some people really try to talk up 305s, but they simply can't compete with a 350. I've seen people dump tons of cash to get a 305 to where a 350 starts. If you want power, start there. If you're a 305 fan I'm not trying to offend you, so please don't take it that way.

Was it out of a TPI or TBI engine? If TPI the cam is decent as is, so maybe some 305 vortec heads, vortec carb intake and custom exhaust.

No No I totally agree that is the way to go. I've a bunch of these motors parts for it so I decided to just put another one in. After this 305 Though I am upgrading to a bored 30ths over 350 100%.
