So I may have a line on a set of chrome finish H2 wheels, trying to decide if I want to pull the trigger.

It looks great now, but I'd definitely like to have the wider wheel, and lets be honest, they are awesome looking wheels, and what I originally wanted on the 'burb.

I think they look great. I have considered them for the PSG. But I kinda like the classic steel 16s as they are.

I'm definitely torn, when I walk out to the 'burb and the PY0s catch the sun...it makes me rethink the idea.

Purchased a set of 17x10.5 rear wheels for the wife's Mach 1 yesterday(and some 315/35r17 skins), so I'm putting the H2's on hold until I can make up my mind.

Ordered a new set of Bilstein 4600s yesterday as well. Figured it was time @ 101k+, I'm sure they are ready.

It's been too cold and snowy to pull the '49 GMC and Z28 out of the shop. I could get them out, but the approach to get them back in afterwards is dicey. With that being said, the Bilsteins are still sitting on the bed of the '49 uninstalled.

Got the new wheels/tires on the wife's Mach 1 and then decided to order a set of louvers for the rear window(not installed, waiting until I can bring the shop up to around 68*+ without kicking on the nuclear backup generator). It definitely looks mean now.

'Burb has soldiered the cold temps well, it's currently white from the roadspray garbage...did I ever tell everyone how much I HATE mag-chloride and salt?

I've been looking for a RCLB K2500\3500 for a "farm pickup". May have stumbled on a K2500 with a flatbed that has a partial LS swap completed. Hoping to go look next weekend if it works out...I already have a plan working in my head for the finished "look".

Funny, I want a RCLB 2500/3500 for a plow truck in the future.

And I want a K2500 sclb for a general purpose work truck.:cheers:

I just want something like I grew up with at this point. When I was a kid, 70% of pickups were still RCLB configuration, they hadn't become a car yet. Really I'd like to find one with a bed, but I can make the flatbed work for now, and for the pickups intended purpose, it may work out better. Don't get me wrong, I'd still love to have a RCSB to daily drive, but they are drawing a pretty strong premium in today's market. I'll settle for a heavy multiuse setup with an LS swap, haha.

Yeah, around here the only folks driving RCLB are work people like plumbers, electricians, carpenters, etc.

I drive by an industrial area on my way to work and there's a big carpet warehouse. Most trucks driving out of there are the 1500 CC 5.5' bed trucks. They look comical loaded with 3 to 6 rolls of carpet or padding, either loaded over the cab or rolls hanging out 6.5' outside of bed, LOL. Rolls are 12'. Pretty new, decked out trucks too.

Only a few seem smart enough to be driving older GMT 800/400 long beds. Amazing!

Another thing that drove (pun intended! ) sales on crew cabs, is that a lot of places don't allow people riding in a truck bed anymore. Lots of yard crews in Houston area got crew cabs and SUVs for that reason. But yeah, it does look dumb!
