Hey Guys/Gals. Just joined the forum a couple of weeks ago. Acquired my Father in Laws truck. He bought it new off the showroom floor. It is a Country Coaches Conversion. He passed away in 2012 and I have been its caretaker until 2 weeks ago when my MIL decided to give me the truck as she was not using it and it was just sitting in the garage.

I don't have big plans right now other than fixing a few minor things. I have 2 other projects I am finishing. It has 167,*** miles and in great mechanical condition. I have all original documents for her and all repairs done over her lifespan. My Father in Law paid $31,800 for her new.

Here are some pics. First thing I did was remove the Tonneau cover and give it away I am not a fan. I have the original chrome rails to put back on it.

Day i picked her up.

Gidday mate, welcome and yes, nice truck. Hope you don't regret giving away that cover, good part of that is why the bed still looks fresh.

Wow, didn't expect to see the 5 speed! That's sweet to see in a conversion.

Thanks Guys.

BigCarrot I won't miss it. I wanted to get rid of it day one buy my mother in law wanted to keep it. I'm not super concerned about the bed. This truck will be used as a truck. The 64' Stepside I am restoring will have the nice bed.

Gstubbz if it didn't have the 5 speed I don't think the 305 could get out of it's own way. It still runs strong and has good oil pressure so I will keep it for now. But when it is done I will definitely got to a 350 or bigger. I changed the oil yesterday and added Rislone zinc additive and my oil pressure is almost 70 at startup. I think the IAC might need to be cleaned or replaced because it keeps high idle long after it is warmed up. Also saw how ridiculously small the down pipe is. I will be replacing it and the cat with the Magnaflow unit. It has a Dynomax muffler so see how it sounds after the new down pipe.

Was going to wax it today but 30* blew in last night so I will be in the woodshop with the heater on all day.

Thanks for stopping in,

Bret

Beautiful truck! That Camaro looks good too!

welcome aboard

love the 2tone fade

Thanks guys. I love the 2 tone fade as well. At some point I would like to get it repainted. I fear it will be hard to find someone who will do the fade paint.

Picked this up at work for $6 on clearance. Normally $19.97. I figured if anything I could use the polish and the powerball.

The headlights on the 95' are pretty crusty. So I thought I would try out this kit. I plan to order some new Spyder housing here soon that Shovelbill has in his light thread.

Not to bad for about 10 minutes worth of work.

I've got new parking lamp lens from TYC on order from Amazon. Both lights are being held on by 1 screw each. Should really freshen up the front end.

I also pulled the bug guard. I think it is much cleaner.

Then I noticed the hood was out of alignment with the fender.

A quick pop of the hood and turned the adjuster up a few turns and much better.

Next up is getting this thing cleaned up. I ordered a rebuild kit for the TBI and going to add the pod spacer and a mild polishing.

Fade ought to be able to be done by amyone who works in a body shop. The technique is very similar to blending.
