Just wanted to share my experiences and help anyone that might be on the fence about attempting to polish their truck. I used a dual action polisher from harbor freight and several lake country ccs foam pad's as well an extreme compound and scratch and swirl remover. I started by clay barring the entire truck, which made a huge difference in itself. Then I used a yellow "heavy cutting" pad with the compound, an orange "Medium cutting" pad with the scratch and swirl remover, and finally finished up with a wax with the red pad. The quick wax was used to condition the pads and accords drying them out. I was more than thrilled with the results. All of the these products were purchased through chemicalguys.com. I have no affiliation with them, they just have a ton of YouTube videos so after watching several of them I went with them. I think I got the clay bar kit from autozone though. Anyway here are a few before and after shots I took during the process.
And the one I think really shows the results the best
