Nope they had 10 bolts in earlier trucks and s10's we got a 10 bolt in the 84 c10 my dad has.

I'll have to see if I can find out any info on spline count.

learn something new everyday, i had a 1981 short bed that had the 12 bolt then in 2005 a guy offered me his 1996 chevy step side and a little money for it, i kinda miss my box truck sometimes when i see another.

I love the older style trucks we had a 76 with a 12 bolt 4.11 and it was nasty, had an 86 k10 with a 10 bolt and now we have an 84 with a 10 bolt. It has 2.73's and it sucks around town trying to take off.
