    well thats the plan as far as new bearing seal and nut. crazy thing is bearing are in great condition as well as the races. i honestly think who ever did the rear end last if at all they didnt tighten it up all the way . oh well.

    Well upon pulling my rear end apart i ve noticed that the pinion gear has decided to eat into the diff itself (where the spiders are and c clip over all casing) has anyone's truck had that issue? at first she started make a hellish noise, checked her out noticed about half inch of pinion play up...

    Has any one built their gmt400 for any type of racing application? very interested to read about others motorsports build. im currently just refurbishing my truck but am contemplating building my truck in to something for track days (road courses ) just to be different.

    I love My 305 , Its a 96 vortec its fun burns tires gets me up to speed quick I have exhaust done on it lowered 2 inches all around . Engine has 251 thousand on the clock . She still kicks and packs a punch . ill keep my 305 , also look into a 335 stroker kit. and a windjammer super charger

    Hood scoops

    Honestly id suggest to google a local body panel supplier such as american metal depot. and see if you could get a steel hood or find a fiber glass one you like . i think you would be much more happier in the long run with a full hood rather than a stick on.( plus it will look a lot cleaner)
