I have also had problems with the ABS in my 2000 S-10 blazer. Pain in the ass. Never have done a removal either but this may be a start: http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13540 http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/chevy/764456-abs-system-removal-how-too.html...
I noticed that the coolant and power steering were both low. I filled them both and the light turned off about 100 miles later. Didn't do anything to the air filter of MAF sensor yet. Has anyone had this happen before?
U My 98 k2500 threw a p0175 code on the way home from work today. There seems to be a correlation between that code and k&n filters on the other forums. I've had a k&n for about a year now with no problems. Also have hollowed out cats for about a year. Anyone else run into this problem? I'm...
Our company is in the process of fabricating these passenger stub shafts for the 7.25, 8.25, and the 9.25 front GM IFS. Our initial idea was to produce these shafts for the one ton trucks only, because the one tons are more likely to see hard wheeling and truck pulls. The modified Duramax puts...
I think I may have done a poor job explaining this new product. Thank you Tempted for posting, because I am sure others were thinking the same thing. We are not, if fact, getting rid of the axel tube that bolts to the diff and to the frame. Once you instal the kit, your front end will look...
The first 89-98 k1500 kit is currently being machined and should be done at the end of the week, or maybe the end of next week. Not only will it eliminate the failure prone actuator, and the weak slide collar, but it will be stronger than the stock two-piece axle. We can offer is the kit at a...
I would reccomend a 14 bolt semi float from a hummer h2. The axles are plenty big, you get a wider stance, u get disc brakes and a rear locker. Not sure what they go for these days but i picked mine up for $500
hope this helps

I got to the same point you're at then had to call it a night. The short shaft seemed to be pretty stuck as well.
nice! this is exactly the kind of feedback we were looking for. Do any of you guys know how much variation there is from the GMT 400 K1500 front diff to the GMT 800 front diff, or where that information is readily available? The less diffs we have to pull at the junkyard, the faster these...
We still have a few pieces to price out, but right now we are looking at about $300 for the kit. This will include a plug for the hole where the acuator used to go. As we get closer to production I can give you a better price. For some reference, alternate fixes would be to replace the...
I am a partner in a small offroad company, Outfitter Design llc. We are currently looking into making a one piece axle shaft kit that replaces the two piece shaft in the passenger side of the front differential. This kit will get rid of the problems associated with the 4 wheel drive actuator...
Thanks for the help. anybody know how accurate it is to tape the threads and what is the accuracy an alignment shop will adjust the tie rods too? I have tried counting the number of turns it took to take the old tie rod out, and putting the new one in the same amount of turns. I was able to...
any body ever do a tie rod upgrade? I have a 98 2500 HD and the tie rods seem to bend pretty easy with my 35" tires. I have lifetime warranty rod ends in there now, so they are free to replace, but then I have to spend $60 on an alignment every time a new one goes in. Anyone have any...
I used 1.5" spacers in the front of my 83 chevy k-10 to prevent the tires from rubbing on tie rod. They worked fine. My ball joints might have worn out faster as a result tho. I don't see a point to use them unless you need them, but thats just me.
