I did not find anything with a search. I am looking for a long tube header for my 91 with a 350 carded motor. I want something that you can access the plugs without standing on your head. It has shorty hearders now but the only way i see to get plug 6 and 8 out are to remove the header. Also, aren't the tubes supposed to be welding all theway around to the flange? Wonder if that is where my exhaust leak might be.
Thanks for any info

4x4 or two wheel? Either way plug access is better with long tubes.

Most times headers are only partially welded on the outside but 100% welded in the inside as shown in these pics. Either way the leak is more likely between the head and header at the gasket. I use Remflex gaskets and I’ve never had a leak even at 1200 Hp.

I've had Hedman thermal coated mild steel long tubes on mine since 2009. No complaints or fitment issues. But I did end up welding the slip fit flanges onto the header balls because the adjustment would loosen up every few months. Since that mod in 2016 I think I've retorqued twice.

I have a set of shorty headers on my 97 C1500, 5.7 L, and a set of long tubes on my 79 L82 (350) Corvette. There are tricks to changing plugs in both vehicles. One of the tools I have that is a big help, is a 5/8 wrench that is offset on the end. You just have to do a plug change, a few times, to figure out the easiest way to do the job. On my Corvette, #7 plug is a lot easier to get to from underneath. On my truck, some of the plugs, I have to use a wrench, on the end of the plug socket, to remove the spark plug.

I have Hedman long tubes I put on back in 2002, still kicking. Although the truck isn't a daily anymore. They work fine and the price was right.
