So I replaced the damaged radiator core support on my 89. I put everything together and the hood is way off. The fenders now line up perfectly w the radiator support. Any ideas on how to alight the hood?

I forgot to mention that the hood was off alignment prior but now it will not securely close
There's adjustment in the fenders at the core support, and the hood can go forward, backward, up, down, and rotate.
Easier to get it right with an extra pair of hands.
Thank you Syndicate. I will try that. I’ll start w the hood alignment. There doesn’t seem to be much wiggle room though

I would try to align passenger fender a little bit better so gap is consistent. Then the hood mounts in the fenders may have to be bent a bit to get the hood to line up. Also, make sure you are using the special shouldered bolt/nut that connects the hood supports to the fender.

ditto, loosen up the lower core support bolts and try to shift the core support to the passenger side. Might help if the fender bolts at the front are loosen up a bit as well.
Hipster and TagAllen, I will definitely try that one out. I think that fix may be my solution. I’ll try it first thing when I get home.

Thanks to all that have responded. You guys rock! Quick and helpful responses are what keep these forums alive

So I went ahead and did the recommended loosening of the core to frame bolts. Attached a ratchet strap to my other truck and pulled it to the passenger side. A few tweaks here and there. Got way better results. The hood shuts completely now but the gap is a little off. I’ll let the body shop guys deal with it when the time comes.

Once again thanks. You guys rock!
