So I found this pic on craig's of an LS swapped sweptline truck. Look at all that room for activities. Even with the AC condenser mounted behind the core support and an extra thick radiator I can still see daylight between the front of the engine and the fan.

I was going to post this in a thread I had started about dealing with rust, but thought you'd might be interested in that Ram that they showed:

xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

Starts at minute 9:25. Kinda reminds me of a similar build I had seen here.;)

I'm going stir-crazy from not being able to do anything on my truck. I think next month it should be favorable conditions to work on it. In the meantime, I came up with a list. Sounds easier in a list format. LOL.

Pull engine and trans
Weld frame boxing plates
test fit drivetrain
weld engine mounts and trans crossmember
clean engine bay, install clutch master
install drivetrain, measure for driveshaft
install hotside
install intake and top end stuff
turbo oil feed and drain
fuel system
install terminator x
build coldside
install driveshaft

I like the concept. At the moment my plan is to keep it beat up looking on the outside and make it a fun cruiser (which of course needs at least 600 hp). I want to take it on Power Tour next year and feel all the Mopar hate. ;)
Some Mopar peeps are already hating. That truck is screaming for a B-block low deck stroker in the 499-512 cube range. lol

Even though I'm pulling it, just thought I would brag on the slant six. I haven't started it since the last car show I went to in May or early June. Today I'm moving it to the driveway so I can get started on pulling the drivetrain. Darn thing started right up. I did cheat by pouring some gas down the carb first but to me that's still impressive.

I did notice/smell that the fuel pump is now pouring gas onto the ground. It's not the lines, it appears to be from the parting line around the housing. Maybe a bad gasket.

Welp, if I had a 15/16 combination wrench the motor would be out now. LOL. No room for a socket and my SAE set tops out at 7/8. 25mm almost works, but just a bit too loose to risk it.

The bellhousing actually bolts to the crossmember. The trans just hangs off the bellhousing with no crossmember under it. Dodge things.

Old truck things. Remember, early Chevy trucks with V8's used a horseshoe mount that bolted up off either side of the timing cover. :) Not impressive once you start throwing any power in there.

It's just different. Like having to put your key in upside down. ;)

It held on there for 55 years, so it stood the test of time.
