stupid question of the day.
some seatbelts have a lock in them that when you pull them all the way out, they ratchet back for car seats. are the rear setbelts on my 89 extended cab supposed to do this? if not, are there some that will bolt in there that will?

Is there a way to paint interior pieces so that they're not all shiny? I'd like to paint my entire interior black, but so that it looks like it came that way from the factory. also, the carpet areas on the doors and stuff. I figure I can get black carpet and headliner, and just do black leather from katzkins or something.

Hey I just bought an 89 1500 and it needs a new steering column. I checked the junk yards today and couldn't find one in a truck like mine but I did find one in a GMC Jimmy. It looks the same but does anyone know for sure if it would work in my truck? Thanks!
As long as its from the same bodystyle truck, it will work.

Ok... A really stupid one for everyone.. I have a bench seat in my truck, i love it. But, id like a black leather bench.. Not a custom wrapped seat, but more of a factory seat.. Anyone know of a different make or model vehicle that might have a black leather bench that may fit in the cab? I can alter the brackets no problem..

Maybe one out of rear of a nbs burb or something. I know a guy with an S-10 that took a back seat from a s-10 blazer and used it for a front bench. It didnt look bad

Im looking on car-part.com and the rear seat for a NBS tahoe is a 40/60 split bench. The 3rd row is a 50/50. And looks like the burbs are the same if they dont have the captains chairs in the 2nd row. As for front bench, I dont think youll find anything in leather from the factory
