What's wrong with it in all practicality? It protects the body from rubbing (already exprienced that benefit more than once) perfectly safe, DOES add clearance due to larger tires.... all that's really a downside is the frame hanging down, but that isn't really a big deal. Sure, I might pull my BL off one of these days, but it is WAY better than cranking the crap out of it.

2WD here... no cranking. I just trust suspension lifts more than BL

A suspension lift is a much better choice. But for a full set for us IFS 4wd guys, its $1000+. Id much rather save $800.

I don't really understand why I should ditch an aftermarket bumper, especially one that's 3/16 inch thick and will save my truck if i were to ever get rear ended.

just as a heads up i had the same bumper on my 94 and i backed into a rock and folded it into my bedside theyre not that strong

what kind of bumper is that?

Honestly I don't know, ive tried digging up info on it, tried looking for a brand name on it, no luck. Closest thing ive found are call ''reflexxion bumpers'', but they look bigger and not as thick. I think mine is off an older truck, ive yet to find out.

Bodylifts are just too cheap in my opinion. I hate the way they are. They make the rear bumper look silly if you dont use raise brackets, but if you do use them, it weakens them It also causes more frame to show, which is the opposite of what i want, and it doesnt raise the engine, you will have to make some covers for the rear bed-frame area or else it looks silly. Not to mention the 4wd lever would need to be raised. Too many issues with them.

I'd rather have a full diff drop kit over a bodylift.
