anyone have experience with NOS on a 4.8? what is a safe level without ring gap on a stock setup?

What is your fueling and timing system? 100 shot should be fairly safe with added fuel and retarded timing.

I have no tuning solution currently. i plan to do a wet shot with a plate. I ran a 75 shot with some race gas on my AUDI. it ran at 11.5 afr. but i had no timing control then either.

It's probably ok on race gas. Run colder plugs and all the other tricks.

What PCM are you running? There are some free tools out there that you could use like PCM Hammer.

i am currently running a stock PCM. (for a 99 4.8) No AFR gauge yet.
