My dad bought this truck brand new and it has been through tons of changes. Like all projects, this went from a 4.3 to 350 swap to a full blown custom suspension and turbo ls build. The project is still on going, but I will slowly post pictures of progress from its entire life and give details of stuff done.

This first picture is my parents with my brother before I was born. I have redacted their faces because we are only interested in the first iteration of the truck

This was the first changes that i made when I started driving it. The first picture is just the addition of wheels. Other two pictures are after lowering it to 4/6 from 2/4.
With the addition of a flip kit and under bed c-notch.

Here are some pictures from the 4.3 to 5.7 swap.
Basic Engine specs:
Bored 40 over
Mild cam
increased intake and exhaust valve sizes

Serpentine belt system off of a GM crate motor
Hooker long tube headers

I kept the original 4L60E trans so I installed the TCI trans control unit when doing the swap
Changed the converter to a Hughes

Truck got wrecked on 10/31/2018 while i was sitting, dead stopped, in traffic. Somebody, a few cars ahead, let a car out into the oncoming lane right in front of a truck doing ~60mph. Truck swerved right to miss the car, but they still clipped them in the back right fender sending the car straight into me. So i bought a car to drive around and took the entire truck apart.

This was the beginning of the rebuild. At this point I decided that i was going to box in the frame and change the 10 bolt to a Ford 9" with a Triangulated 4-link.

Fabricated 9" housing from Rhodes racing
Second picture is where the damage was from the wreck. Im not sure if this was after it was fixed or if it was during the process.
3rd is the truck after being separated from the frame at a shop that i was working at in my free time.

building steps of the frame and rear suspension
The link kit came from Artech Industries. It came with all tubes, brackets (came in pieces), and heim joints.
We replaced the stock braces with these fabricated ones for strength and they are placed in a better area.

Brought the truck home from the shop and of course I stopped working on it so it all rusted.
Took the bed and cab back off and made some mounting brackets for the fuel cell. I dont care for having to fill the tank through the bed floor but i have a clean plan for that.
I brought the frame to a local shop that could sand blast it. Picked it up and painted it on the same day. WELL WORTH THE MONEY TO GET IT BLASTED
