I'm pleased to report that Carlos received the first five pairs of headlights today!

A couple pictures are attached. Carlos hasn't dug into them yet, so these are the only pictures he's provided.

How do the adjusters look compared to the older versions?

I'm awaiting those details from Carlos

I posted the only real "headlight" picture he sent, the other pictures from him were basically of the BIG box that contained the ten LITTLE boxes, each little box containing one headlight.

For those that don't already know, Arteb boxes the headlights individually. These headlights are "service parts" sold left and right individually; they are not an aftermarket retail product boxed in pairs, e.g., like those from TYC.

Update: I was slightly mistaken in my post #62 above.

The headlights are in possession the of carrier, Jacobina Transportes. The pictures were taken by the carrier and sent to Carlos, who emailed them to me earlier today. I misunderstood Carlos' email and inferred that the headlights had been delivered to Jacobina (Carlos' home town).

Carlos said tonight:

I haven't received them yet.

They should arrive on Saturday but there will be little time for them to be delivered on the same day as working hours are shorter than other days of the week.

Therefore, shipping processes will probably not be carried out and it will only be delivered on Monday.

So we'll wait until then.

Any pictures of what just City Lights turned on looks like? Thx
I tried, but none of the pictures were really representative of what they look like. Just imagine you have a D-cell flashlight inside your headlamp. They don't cast enough light to tell that they're on at night, but from a distance in the daytime they appear to be on to oncoming traffic.

Update - Saturday Jan20

(1) If you've contacted me about acquiring headlights or taillights, and you have not received a confirmation response from me, try again. I want to make sure I've got everyone on the list.

(2) Carlos told me the 5-pair shipment arrived at the shipper's local office (Jacobina) today (Sat Jan20) as expected. He'll receive them Monday.

(3) We intend to buy many more, but this is our first transaction with our new supplier and we're only taking five pairs in this order. Everything's gone smoothly so far and we're eager to inspect what's been sent. Barring issues, I expect we'll place another, much larger order by mid-week.

(4) If you're interested in the Arteb taillights, you're probably already aware they require different circuit boards that are hard to find "used" and aren't available new from Arteb. We're taking steps to make the circuit boards available and at reasonable cost; that's all I'm saying for now.

Enjoy what's left of the weekend :patriot:

The five pair shipment finally arrived.

The date codes on the headlights show Dec2023 ("21/12/23" and "18/12/23"), so these are hot off the press.

Carlos is looking them over now...

(edit) I've never seen that "Togni" seal on any headlights I've bought dating back to 2019. I'm not sure who or what "Togni" is, yet.

The rest of the seal says "conferido, lacre de garanti" which translates to "checked, guarantee seal".

Update: Here's what we've seen on this latest batch of headlights

Carlos had a chance to look at the latest batch of headlights, manufactured in December 2023.

The aiming adjustment mechanism has changed slightly, in that the "leadscrew" has a slot it in that can be used to hold it stationary (the lead screw) while adjusting the aim.

("leadscrew" as referenced in Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leadscrew)

Ideally the leadscrew would not turn during aim adjustment (meaning, it would remain stationary on its own accord, it would not need to be "held stationary") but in the past on some Arteb headlights it would turn, and evidently on this latest batch it may still turn. The fact is, it must remain stationary in order for the aim adjusters function. Users in the past have managed this by lubricating the leadscrew / aiming adjuster, e.g., see this post and others following it:

My take on it is this:

(1) Aiming these headlights is crucial; their headlight pattern is EXCELLENT but they need to be aimed correctly or the excellent pattern won't mean a thing.

(2) New owners should plan to spend a few minutes lubricating the adjusters as detailed in the post referenced above. The slot which Arteb has recently provided in the leadscrew will facilitate holding the lead screw stationary during lubrication.

(3) There are two adjusters on each headlight housing (four total, for a pair), and each has its own leadscrew. The leadscrews on one housing are pictured below, and more extensively in the post linked-to above.
