So I've been noticing there is fluid leaking on the ground after driving...not a puddle but a pretty good spot. I think it's trans fluid..but does this more look like the pan or front seal. The truck was barely driven for years. I think the pan gasket or front seals is shot

I wanna add to that while the truck is idling I can't see any flow or anything from the trans

First off we need to know the color of the fluid mileage, year, make, & model of vehicle we are dealing with and type of automatic transmission 4L60E or 4L80E? And how about if you pressure wash all the old dirty grease and oil from underneath your engine and trans and dry everything real good then remove flywheel stone pan guard and with a flashlight look for signs of fluid leakage coming from the rear main engine crankshaft seal or the trans front pump input shaft seal. Don't forget to monitor trans and engine fluid levels before and after as well as there condition (old, worn, burn't) then check for (old torn rip) oil pan gasket and replace if necessary, also recheck oil pan bolt torque specifications to see if they were not over tighten before or worked themselves loose (gaskets and rubber neoprene seals have a tendency to leak if vehicle is left to sit for to long between periods).

No photos.
Thoroughly clean, wash the suspect leaking area. Then drive to hot and long enough to recreate your problem. Return and slide some cardboard under suspect area. To identify location and confirm fluid type. Gravity is your friend, liquids don't flow uphill. So with lower cover removed should be easy.

The inside of the bellhousing is dry, so I would not suspect either the transmission front seal nor the engine rear main seal. From that top pic, the transmission pan gasket looks rough, but that may be crud and perspective. Still, pan gaskets are cheap. While you have the pan off, clean it and make sure the flange is straight. Make sure the magnet is in place and cleaned. Might as well also replace the filter.

There was some fluid near the back of the bellhousing. Fluid doesn't go up but it can also spread if it's blowing around but directly behind the TQ converter was dry.

I'll do a pan gasket first and a filter. Don't wanna have the trans pulled unless absolutely have to. I have a garage with concrete floors but don't wanna do that off the ground.

I get that. I just got my transmission back up in my truck Monday evening. I still have to finish bolting everything up.
