I opened the one from Roscoe just a couple days before you. I used a hammer and drift punch to lift the tabs ever so slightly, then I used Knipex pliers to bend the tabs up. Those tabs are stout!
Are you going to rebuild the joint? I think I decided to chunk mine. I'll probably just get Borgeson shafts ir another one of similar quality. Don't want to, but I don't think anyone makes a replacement boot/seal like the one on this one. There are similar ones, but not good enough for me.

Got the mate rivets in. Can at least rivet the motor to the regulator and then rivet the regulator (using other rivets) to the door panel.

Waiting on a few other odds and ends before I can finish the door. Still also have to buy a new side mirror.

Hoping the regulator plays nice with my fingers.

So, looking at this passenger side door panel, which I have to disassemble. Looking at the window regulator rivets.

I don't see why I need to follow the same pattern. If I switch the pairs, it would make them way easier to install. As they are now, I can't install a pair of the rivets from this side because the regulator would be in the way. So, why not just install the pairs from opposite sides?

So, for the driver's side, I could rivet this pair of rivets from this side of the panel and not have to worry about the regulator blocking the way.

Interesting. I guess at some point GM changed to a different rivet design? Instead of the tri-grip, it looks like this from the rear:

And unless the seller gave me other than GM rivets in a GM bag, these are GM rivets.

No complaints though. It holds it sturdy.

The regulators did come with a set of 4 rivets though. I just decided to use the ones I bought. It does look like the ones it came with are the trip-grip design.
