A Lares 205 should be a direct replacement if I remember correctly.

Edit: This is the rag joint replacement...I got lost in the pages.

I see the numbers "26048092" on the ring that was molded to the boot. Also has "USA", "22", and "C/R" on it.

I was looking at my steering shaft. This is the part that connects to the firewall in between the steering wheel shaft and rack-and-pinion shaft.

Anyone ever opened up the joint?

That looks like a one piece shaft. Mine is two at that point. The one in question is the intermediate shaft.

Ok, I couldn’t find that picture and it didn’t make sense.

The door lock actuators are not GM. Unfortunately my usual source for obsolete GM parts wanted way too much. I looked around and thought the NGK WVEs were comparable if not better than the stock GM.

These come with a bracket with slightly enlarged holes because they expect you to use nuts and bolts. But I like the stock rivet look. So, I adapted the stock bracket (from old parts on the original door panels) to the WVE actuator. The stock black machine screws from stock brackets were slightly too short. I don't think you can find slightly longer ones in the same exact style. So I bought some stainless steel anti corrosive plated machine screws from McMaster-Carr.

They are just right length, so I'll consider it an upgrade.

To assemble the window regulator motor to the window regulator, I decided to use 1/4" mate rivets. I could not find a retailer that had the Avdel mate rivets in stock, so I went with Hanson CM-ASA814 1/4" diameter, .750-.875 grip, mate rivets with steel mandrels/aluminum bodies. (Edit: On second thought, these may actually be the Avdel rivets.)

Assuming I measured the thickness of the window motor and regulator mounting locations (3 total) correctly, that should be the correct grip to secure the two together. Again, don't want to use nuts and bolts. The mate rivets won't be here til next week though.

These are two of the three spots for the mate rivets.

I don't know that those are mate rivets, but that's the closest thing I could find.
