It does and why wouldn't it work ? It's suppose to of came from a 1995 Chevrolet ZR71
because a 1994 and earlier did not use a PWM transmission. the case plug is different, the valve bodies, the parts, torque converter.
Some things wont mate as a matter of principal and keeping them distinct(gms part)
You need a non pwm or earlier or you need to bring the earlier electronics into 95+ PWM but like, 97 max. 98 i think it changes again

what is the situation with the speed sensor and design of the case
The VSS is on the passenger side...I was told this transmission and transfer case came from a 95 Z71 Truck...These are the numbers I got from the transmission itself...

you need a 4L60E from a 93 or 94, it uses the traditional on/off tcc arrangement. it's possible (in theory) to swap the years around but a bunch of internal mods need to be done that are beyond the average DIY'er and even some builders. also tuning would be required in some cases.

I would just get your original trans rebuilt.

I found a guy that will R%R my transmission and transfer case, rebuild both with torque converter and a chain for the T/C for 1500.00.... All I need to do is take it to him and then pay him when done... So that's the route I'm going... I listed this 95 4L60E and NP 241-C transfer case on Marketplace... Nothing wrong with it other then it doesn't work for my truck as we can see now....

Be carefull. I would be really really leery about anybody who claims they can R&R the trans and transfer case and rebuild both including a torque converter and the chain and the rebuild kit and the labor for 1500 bucks.
I think good parts and fluids alone would eat up all of that 1500.
Do you know this guy and his reputation?
Do you have any recourse if this guy doesnt know what he is doing and tears your truck apart and feeds you ******** excuses for the next year?
The other spooky thing here is that you dont have to pay him untill it is done.
No reputable shop operates that way.
You need to make a down payment or finance it or provide a credit card.
The other thing to think about is the warranty on the work and the parts.
If it blows up a week after hes had it for six months of ******** excuses,
Will he answer the phone.
And I gaurantee you that anyone who operates that way will not be readdy to address your problems because they had no idea how to bid that job and they are "Stealing money to pay Paul"
That is the oldest **** shop, got ripped off, they ruined my car story ever.
Unless this guy is your Grandpa or your sister and you can beat them down at Thanksgiving,
Do not let some 1500 buck knucklehead anywhere near your truck.
Aint no way in hell that it doesnt go sideways on you.
Spend the money even if you have to finance it and make payments at a real shop.
