Oh Man, I didn't realize your engine went out. I'm sorry to hear that. Are you going to fix it eventually?
DEFINITELY. I am in the middle of doing it, but it's hard since I live and work in bougie Colorado and my truck is at my parent's house in East Texas. I only go home for a couple weeks a year so I only have so much time to work on it.

It makes it hard because I want to go all out and do a lot of other stuff at the same time:anitoof: I bought a used, low-mileage engine, replaced every gasket and rebuilt the heads so the engine will be as fresh as possible. I also upgraded to the MPFI assembly, replaced the front studs/rotors/pads, changed the fuel pump, replaced a bad wiring harness, replaced the pitman arm, replaced the master cylinder, upgraded to stainless steel braided hose lines, changed the A/C compressor & components out with a new kit, replaced the driver's side window motor/regulator, replaced all door switches, fixed my parking brake, and I'm in the middle of doing a rear shackle flip + 2" lift block to get rid of my 5.5" lift block and help with off roading.

'80 Subaru Brat I had when I was around 17 or so, and had a ball in it. And yes, the rear wheels are on backwards. Like older Bugs, you could run the wheels reversed without issue.

I was actually able to buy the push bar, and matching roll bar from a Subaru dealer, as leftover, NOS parts. Got both pieces for the price of one. This was around 1987 or 88.

When I took out the Cessna 152, about 30 minutes to get to 10,000ft, then the girl would start starving for air. A lot faster coming down. But not like a B17 over Germany, (brave young soles).

Currently own two (2) Chevy 1500 and looking to buy the third one (1991 GMC 2500) this weekend. What is a subaru?
A Subaru is the Japanese car that’s better than Toyota that didn’t get as much attention. I’ve worked on both makes and this Impreza is far and away simpler and easier to work on than a Toyota.
