This is my first build so towards the end of it I’ve definitely realized I could have gone about this way cheaper but oh well. So far I’ve got eagle 383 rotating assembly cast crank I beam rods and hypereutectic pistons. The camshaft is comp cams 8-417-8. Everything else is relatively stock except the valve springs which I had to do for the cam. The compression is 11.27 according to summit calculator. I had the tranny rebuilt by a local guy and he upgraded the 4l60e with 5 pinion planetarys and a new sun shell along with a few other things I don’t remember.. tomorrow I’ll drop the motor back in after it being down for 7+ months. Towards the spring I plan to fix the rust on her and paint it light blue as well as replace the bumpers with black ones and a black grille. Slightly bigger tires with again black rims. Tint out the windows. And than I plan to pull a rearend with 4.10 and disc brakes from a 99-03 silverado. I don’t know if any 4.10s came with discs if not I’ll figure something out later to get discs in the back and change the diffs to 4.10s

That’s awesome I can’t believe I did that.
I probably wouldn't have noticed except I look under the hood every morning for pre flight checks, and I look at all the hoses and connections. I have a slight coolant leak that I think part of is the heater control valve and the fittings for the rear heater ( suburban stuff). Have the new fitting, just haven't parked it long enough to replace everything. Where I live, you're not supposed to do any major vehicle repairs, and they would probably consider anything draining coolant to be major. Also, most of the neighbors have dogs that aren't always leashed.
