How old was the guy? I have never heard of anyone putting nails in a bulb socket, that's messed up! o_O

And you are right, it looks a mini shed in the Burb, glad you told him the truth about it's condition to get it lowered more than half the price. I hate it when people ask a bunch of money for a rust free truck, but then the interior is not so great. Sounded like a Craigslist ad, people always ask high amounts for stuff.

It is looking a lot better now. :waytogo: And I think the visor would look pretty good on it, but that's just me.

while I had the dash apart during the cluster swap, I washed out the dust/dirt areas just help make it a little cleaner. Cleaned the 4x4 switch, recolored the 4x4 logo w/ a silver permanent marker just to dress it up.

Sometimes it's the little things.

He was in his late 50's. Like it was mentioned, he probably had a contact issue & it was his idea of a fix. But this homie don't play like that :) Wish I had a pic when it was loaded. Unfortunately, I can only clean the carpet & headliner so much, they will have to be replaced due to neglect & abuse. that'll give me an excuse to coat the ceiling & floor before installing the new to me ones. ****, I'm even coating the inside of the doors while they are blown apart, more on that later.

When originally checking out the Burban, I noticed that when operating the locks from the power switch, they were crappy. From the master switch, it would not unlock/lock all of the doors & each press of the button, it sounded weaker. So for the 1st step, I cleaned all of the contacts @ the barn doors. Well that didn't fix it, o well, they needed to be cleaned anyways so no harm no foul. Then I tested the actuator just in the barn door by itself, it was nice & strong. Guess I'll start one door @ a time testing actuators.

As you can see, between the stains, bleached area under the 2nd row, spilt paint, the carpet is not worth saving, just vacuum, deodorize & vacuum again until replaced. A few of the door panels will also be going bye bye.
