2000, 454 vortec bb engine seems to be missing after distributor R&R

Just wanted to update. I reinstalled my blackbox pcm and engine is running silky smooth. Missfire is completely gone. There were parts of the base tune that I liked that I would like to incorporate into the black box tune. Truck doesn't start on the first bump of the ignition like it did with the 411. (Done a crank relearn with HP Tuners and that didn't help). I might go back to the 411 someday but I wanna get a better understanding of what is being changed base tune wise before doing it again. Thanks everyone for the help and ideas along the way. Wish I could say it was something besides that, but it wasn't.

Damn. While I'm glad you got everything going again I hate that we had you do all of that checking and stuff in the interim.

Maybe it's a bad pin on the 0411? Stinks.

LOL. No man it's all good. I didn't get too carried away with the checking before I said screw it and just through the black box back on just to see. It is what it is. I don't know if you had time to look at my original base tune on the 411 but it was way different then the factory tune the black box came with. The variance witht the timing was probably the culprit. But who knows. I'm just happy she is running like she did prior to this. Hapy turkey day!

Can yiu attach your tune from the 0411? We can compare it to files we have. Glad you got it narrowed down finally.

Can HP tuners communicate to your black box? 98+ it can. I'd like to compare it to the 0411 tune you had.
