Actually never came across my mind...I think it would look clean, but I kinda like the added protection from rocks. And It kind of works to protect the hood when I pop it up from hitting the ceiling in my garage at home.

I have come to hate gm oil cooler lines so much, just a BS design. I made my own today of course it couldn't just be straight forward.
Can't find an adapter for the radiator threads so I reused some of the original cooler line at the radiator. The line is all kevlar wrapped 8AN and adapters. I had to flare the other end. I took s bunch of pics because I haven't seen many people do/figure this out.

Its not leaking, its just oil I haven't cleaned up yet.

Sweet truck reminds of me of my old 4x4 all white i miss it but now i got a obs 2wd. Seeing those lines reminds me of my leaky tranny line under the radiator i gotta get flared. The hose clamps just are not doin it
