Got the sockets in from Zoro just now. 38 mm is the correct size, as the 1-1/2" is a bit looser on the nut.

I'll tackle the side bearings after work this evening.

The Yukon barely does not have enough thread to pull this side bearing off. So, I had to find something to add another inch between the end of the Yukon's internal forcing screw and the pilot(?) bar. So I searched and decided to use this OTC tool which I believe is part of my OTC Pitman arm puller set. It did the job.

One bearing off. One to go.

The other bearing is the same. If the screw itself was maybe 1/2"...3/4" longer, it would work by itself. This is how far it gets the bearing off.

This is the "pilot bar" that sits in the differential carrier upon which the internal forcing screw pushes.

Then I add the OTC tool component on top of it to add another 3/4", more or less.

That’s really odd that the pilot bar wouldn’t be long enough, there’s probably just as many GM diffs as there are jeep diffs lol

Both bearings off.

Despite its shortcoming, the tool is worth the money. Sometimes you have to improvise.

By the way, the side bearings are the same, and you can find them each as a Timken SET42.
