These are forged lower control arms.
I really don't have a tool to install the bushings so im wondering if a piece of 5/8 all thread is strong enough to pull them in?.
I have some Grade 8, 5/8 bolts but they are only 6in long and i think to short.
Without being able to measure im assuming i will need about a 9in long bolt to get the bushing started in the A arm.
I'll rent a ball joint remover installer and wondering if that might work.
How have you guys done it?

Mine are the stamped arm with forged ends. I used a long metric bolt to pull the new bushings into the arms using a combination of sockets/washers/ball joint cups.

Mine came with new steel shells though.

Usually the hardest part is getting the old bushings out. But yea, some all-thread and getting creative with sockets and washers will get the job done.

When I did the poly bushings on my '92 forever and a lifetime ago, I used a SnapOn U-joint press set, clamped into a bench vise, and a few old u-joint bearing caps and other pieces of scrap materials used as spacers to help drive the bushings. And a lot of cussing.

My front end came apart really easy until i got to that one bolt that is a real pita to get out. We all know that one if you have done this.
