Can the PCM's be swapped?

sure it could be done, but rewiring the PCM just to use a hypertech? not worth it at all. there are a good amount of changes from 97 to 98 that would need to be dealt with in the PCM that a hypertech wouldn't be able to do. if anyone is going to swap PCM's just do the 411...

I was asking for different reasons, being that I want to run EFILive in the future and have a 97 model vehicle, and it doesn't support the pre 98 Vortec PCM's. I know about the 0411 swap, just was seeing if there was something more plug and play than rewiring pinouts on my harness.
