The stock Vortec injection can only support a little over 400 horses. So I built my 383 for 450 HP. It's fine as a daily driver, but my city mileage went down from close to 15 MPG to a little under 13 MPG. If you keep your foot off the pedal. And that's with stock-sized tires.

Would a COMPLETE STAND ALONE 6.0 harness already set up all sensors everything minus catalytic converters even includes a unlocked pcm be a good deal for 1800 bucks?

What about running a lq4 with a air to air inter cooler? I should be able to run 15psi of boost with 91+ Oct and it seems more practical considering I would have to wait to spoil and looks a lot easier to install and tune myself
Depends on the size and quality of the intercooler..
We ran 16-17# on a cam 5.3 for 7 years on 93 octane.
It's all in the tune and gas to keep one alive.

I understand that and luckily premium ist even 3 bucks a gallon here yet anyway I'll run the premium with the boosted setup rather I go with 5.3 or 6.0 ... the place I found the 6.0 turnkey drop it in and hook it up for stand alone also has 5.3s for 1200 or 1400 and 4.8s for not much less

I bought a L33 5.3 few weeks ago for $750 and 2 LM7 5.3s for $800 each last week.
LQ4 are hard to find and the bring a premium. LQ9 are impossible to find down here.

That and the lq4 has slightly lower comp than the 5.3 by like .1 and I believe the guy said his 6.0s are all under 200k miles so I dont think it's to bad considering my stock tbi 350 has 324k and counting

LQ9 is 10.0
L33 Is 9.9
There is another number for the next digit so those are rounded numbers.
