Want to lower more but this is what holding me back

I want to lower my truck an inch more all the way around so I was just thinking about cutting 3/4 of a coil in the front and removing the middle leaf in the rear. What's holding me back is that I'm hearing Alot about axel hop and I love to race and I know that's a big no no.
