These are good questions, I have always wondered myself.

you need a prybar and snap ring pliers, thats it to install it. you can search on how to install it, it should take about 20 mins total.prybar to push in stock servo, take out snap ring, remove, and install this, push in with prybar and push in snap ring. wala, firmer shifts
