Utility VS Wagon

1994 GMC Suburban owners manual list a wagon and utility models. What are the differences between the two ? ( besides fuel tank capacity )

They used to call the SUVs wagons, I remember my dad's 77 Blazer was registered as such. The terms may be interchangeable?

It's an old carry over term, well used to be.

Trucks and vans if they had windows and seats were a wagon no windows minimal seats utility truck. They used to get registered differently as well.

I think this also refers to the rear cargo arrangement, barn door or horizontal.
