Transmission slipping

    So on sat my son and I went to the nearby u.pullit yard ..on the way back pulling pur of their parking lot my truck wouldn't shift into 2 unless I let off the gas after it shifted into second it drove fine..we stopped about 10 miles down the road for gas..checked fluid it was fine so we left ..it did it again but this time 2-3 did it as well..we got on highway and we drove it at 65-70 for bout 50 miles..we made it home...im not a transmission guy so I have no clue as to what its doing..

    1994 gmc 2500 light duty ( as u guys say)

    Worn out 3-4 Clutchpack or bad Torque Converter.

    Theres been a whine in the truck sense I bought it 2 weeks ago...i wasent sure wht it was till I talked to another chevy guy he said trans pump so im thinking shes burned up

    Can you describe the whine? Mine whines when I rev the engine regardless of if its in neutral or in gear.

    Sounds like a dry power steering pump just a higher pitch..I know it not that I took the belt off and it still there

    I been reading the.. answers to all 4l60e troubles thread and so far it has only confused me...how much of that thread pertains to the 4l60e in my 1994 gmc...how much of the 94 4l60e is computer run...want to rule out electrical issues before I drop and rebuild the trans
