My first 2 4L60e that died started out with P1870... The first one was the valve body. I got it rebuilt (for what I thought was a deal) for about $1,200 including a trans-go, beast sunshell, and a few other things.. 10 months later it took a crap again because the ****** job the guy did rebuilding it.
The second one cost me somewhere around $2,200 (reusing the beast and a couple other things) and that thing lasted over 100,000 miles of hard abuse before I sold it.
