I need some help re-timing my truck. It's a 97 gmc Sierra with the 5.7. I bought a new distributor, marked on the firewall where the rotor pointed and dropped the new one in. The way my father set up everything, he marked the plug wires in numerical order, not with the number that matched on the cap. The truck was timed right but we didn't realize that we weren't on the same page until a few mins ago and it's off now. Any insite at all will be helpful! Websites or anything!

We have a genisis scanner but the distributior gear is a couple of teeth off now I'm assuming. So that needs to be right before you time it with a scanner right?
