Really? People fit 285/75's all day long on stock K1500 trucks. You shouldn't have to crank and especially shouldn't have to trim to fit 265/75's...

It's all about the wheels offset. Stock wheels, piece of cake; custom wheels, maybe maybe not.

well, I take the first part back, I saw 285s on a nice zr1 offroad stickered truck once... bone stock...
I don't see how the balzer could be different but yeah... going through big whoops, when the suspension gets its full travel, the 265s were grabbing/ripping at stuff...

since then ive done the trimming and hammered the inner fender lip- removed the wind-dam, and now everything's ok... but, nope, cant fit 285s in peace of mind =(

Anybody have any experience with dick cepek fun countrys?

I beleive they've redesigned them recently to make them more of a Hybrid AT, like most tire's are nowadays.

The old ones that had a tread pattern that looked like a bunch of flexing arms sucked it. They weren't good for anything at all.

Just to add to the thread...

Ran a set of 295/65/18 Duratracs for a good 40000 miles. They were great on trails and in the mud. Great on pavement. Great in the rain. Not great on the highway at 75+ mph. They had a little hum, not like a true mud grip, but noticeable. Sold them to a buddy.

Previously ran Toyo AT's in 285/70/17. They were great in the rain until the tread was half gone. Acted like you'd expect from an AT otherwise.

Running Nitto Terra Grappler G2's now, in 295/70/18. Have about 5000 miles on them. I saw a rooster tail coming off the back tires rounding a corner in the rain today.

It rains a lot where I live. Wet traction is important to me.
