Temperature Sensors?

Okay so I am going to replace the temp sensor located on top of the intake manifold, no big deal. There seems to be a 2nd temperature above the driver's side exhaust manifold. Only has 1 wire to it, is that a temp sensor or something else?

The one in drivers side head is the temp sensor for the gauge cluster. The one in the intake manifold is.coolant tekp.srnsor.for the ecm

I can't seem to find the manifold one at the parts stores. Are they the same?

No, should be different part numbers. Either a WT3000 or WT3025 in BWD. You should be able to cross them from there.

Sweet thanks man. I do need a new pigtail for the WT3025 and it does not look like it comes with one.

Why do you need a new pigtail? Is the socket on your truck different?

No the clip is all smashed from someone not taking care when disconnecting it

But your sensor does have the |- connection like the WT3025 and not the - - like the WT3000, right?

The 1 wire pigtail for the sensor above the exhaust manifold is bad, the 2 wire one for the sensor on top of the intake manifold is good
