I am assuming the stock wheels are 15X8, 3.75" back spacing. Can anyone tell me if that is true?

Thanks in advance.

RawbDidit, I saw a column for bolt pattern, 5x127 (5x5"), didn't see anything on back spacing.

Yeah that 3.75" backspacing on a 15x7 is squarebody stuff. GMT400 has more backspacing as delta_p indicated.

Been out of town over the holidays, but right before I left got a good deal on some new/take-off 23575r15 tires. I want to mount them on something different than the wheels I current am running. Is a 15x6 wheel too narrow for a 235 wide tire? I was wanting to use the old square body steelies with GMC hub caps. Like this but GMC not Chevy.

15x6 shouldn't be too narrow for a 235, I run 265/75's on my 16x6.5 PY0 rims.

For this question regarding any tire/wheel size, use Tire Rick's website look up your tire size pick a brand (yours or similar if not available) and click 'specs' - you'll see manufacturer recommended wheel width range.

What is the width of the 2wd 1973-87 1/2 ton truck base rims, 6", 6.5", 7"? I am getting conflicting answers. Talking about rim like this. If someone can measure, one, I'd appreciate it.
