1996 Chevy C1500 5.7L pickup.
The speedometer reads consistency too fast depending on what speed I’m going. For example if I’m going 10mph it’ll day I’m going 20mph. If I’m going 70mph it’ll say I’m going 100mph. When I’m stopped it says 0. Also the cruise control doesn’t work.
I changed the speed sensor VSS today hoping that was the issue but it didn’t do anything. Still having the same problem. Any info is appreciated. Truck is on Stock tire size.

I'm thinking that by '96, there's no separate DRAC. You'd need to fix the programming in the computer.

Cruise control failure is often (not always, but very commonly) due to frayed wires coming from the turn signal handle.
