smog pump delete

I just went through this song and dance.... deleted the smog pump on the 7.4 vortec.

Got a belt from Autozone, listed under a 2009 Topkick with the 8.1.

Part number on the belt is 1000K6. https://www.autozone.com/cooling-heating-and-climate-control/belt/p/duralast-belt-1000k6/360917_0_0 There are some Gates belts under that number I believe as well that will fit. 100.6" length 6 rib IIRC.

I used a gates K060970. 6PK2464 see the above pic. I cut the bracket for the air pump to make extra clearance for the lower rad hose clamp too. Although it isn’t necessary to do that. Hope this helps.

Not sure if this is common knowledge, but I learned that the 6PK2464 number gives the belt inner length in mm. I did an AD244 alternator conversion last weekend and the belt that was already on the truck was a bit too short for the existing alternator and wasn’t matching up to any “stock” belts I was finding listed for my truck online. So, I needed to find a belt that was about an inch and a half longer than what I currently had (6PK2440) and wanted to use that as a starting point.

Using the last 4 digits I added 40mm and asked the guy at Oreilly’s to see what he could find close to 6PK2480. Left the store with a 6PK2479 and it worked like a charm!

If it's 3 digits the length is in inches, just add a decimal point before the last digit
