Shift sensor issue and maybe something else?

Late update. Getting a new transmission. Replaced all the gadgets, drove it around the loop behind my house. 1-2, good, 2-3 good, no surge, not enough road to open it up anymore than that. Came to the stop sign at the highway, turned right to get home and it’s MAYBE a quarter mile away. Plenty of road to get to cruising speed.

1st gear... and nothing. Wouldn’t come out of first gear. So I just limped it home and called a tow truck. It’s in the shop right now waiting for the installation. It should be done today and ready to pick up tomorrow. The trans is there, but there’s two other trucks in line ahead of mine that we’re supposed to be done a week ago, but all three transmissions were delivered Thursday evening.

The mechanic said I did my part right though, so at least there’s that.
