Removed air bag now no horn

Hey Guys
I have a 97 1500 remove the stock
steering wheel and installed a aftermarket wheel now the horn doesn’t work any ideas everything I have read the air bag circuit not related to the horn circuit
I can jump it at the horn relay and it will blow the horn
Thanks for any information

A pic of what you did install may help, and maybe a pic or two of how you dealt with the horn wires with the aftermarket wheel. I am unsure if the factory horn is ground of hot switched, but you may point to a wiring diagram to see.

If it's like my '96, the horn switch is a little pin that sits on a spring in a small hole in the steering wheel. The pin was depressed by the metal of the airbag onto the live contact under the spring and ground is provided to the horn relay coil. The ground path probably got eliminated but should be an easy rig up if this is what happened.
