Rear lights

Hi. Just replaced the rear lights on my 92 Stepside. They don’t work. When I put my turn signal on it blinks in my cab but when I apply the brakes the blinker turns off. Gelp and thanks

And did you do any other diagnosis?
Did you check fuses, grounds, trailer hitch wiring connector?
Do your front lights continue to work when you press the brake pedal?

It appeared to be the ground. Cleaned it and it works. Thanks
