Will the 11" rear drum setup from my 99 Tahoe swap onto my 89 K1500?
I cannot find the swap listed online so I am guessing the backing plate bolt pattern is different
or the axle stub is different.

I have not done this swap. I believe it's possible. You would do well to take some measurements with the drums off, before the real disassembly begins.

Both vehicles have six-lug axles, therefore six-lug drums...right?

Are both axles the "10-bolt" 8.5 ring gear assembly? Or is the Tahoe axle a 9.5" ring gear unit?

Also important--the '88 to '91(?) regular-cab trucks have the crappy, small (JB3/JN3) front brakes. If you have an extended-cab, you've probably got the JB5 bigger, stronger front brakes with a bigger/stronger master cylinder and power booster. The bigger front brakes pair with the 11.x Duo-Servo rear brakes better than the smaller front brakes. HOWEVER, I did run the small front brakes, small master and small booster with the 11.x rear drums for a couple of years; it worked OK.
