Quick headlight restore

I hit them with some 220 dry then wet sanded with 180 and 1000 and bluffed them with with some cheap compound. Turned out great considering yellow they were

It doesn't take much to knock off the yellowed clear. If you want them to stay good looking for a long time, clean them up with wax/grease remover, then a couple coats of good quality clear. If you don't, they'll haze up in a few months of exposure.

Yea, your going to have to add some form of protection to keep them from fading again, an easier option is the 3M headlight film or clear coat:
