Just realized the vortec/tbi setup in my truck has a vortec block, with a TBI water pump... Haven't fired it yet. Here's to hoping the bypass hole on the water pump doesn't leak....
I bought an aftermarket alum pump that had a press in type plug for the bypass hole. Saved me the trouble of tapping n plugging the block, that hole supposedly over cools the front cylinder and it's a racing trick to plug it anyways. I like to run small bypass lines from the rear of the intake that goes above the t-stat so I prefer it plugged anyways.
